Potato cakes

These little beauties went down a treat in our house this evening. I got the idea from member Dawn who makes Slimming World hashbrowns but I couldn't remember exactly how she made them so I made these up!

Kiesworld potato cakes
4 large potatoes peeled & chopped
1 small onion finely diced
1 egg 
1/2 tbsp Aromat seasoning or other multi purpose seasoning
1tsp garlic granules
45g cheese (9 syns)

Add potatoes and onions to pan of boiling water and cook until soft. Mash well with egg, seasoning & garlic. Divide mixture into 12 balls and squish into patties.
Place patties on a baking sheet and spray liberally with frylight. Cook in a hot oven until golden brown (aprox 20 mins)
Remove from oven and top each pattie with a little grated cheese and return to oven to melt.

I served these with sausages & baked beans and everyone loved them. This particular recipe is 9 syns so personally I would count 2.5 syns per portion. If you don't add cheese these would be completely syn free but I feel the cheese and syns are well worth it.
